Welcome to the May/June 2010 newsletter

Welcome
We would like to welcome two of our new staff members, Michelle Mc Grath who is working in Montessori and Fiona Leahy in Pre- Montessori room.

Birthdays
We would like to say a “Big” Happy Birthday to the following children and hope they all had or will have a great birthday.

June

Stephen who was 2 on the 2nd

Adam who was 2 on the 13th

Niamh & Caoimhe who were 4 on the 15th

Aine who will be 3 on the 19th

Cara who will be 2 on the 20th

Noah who will be 4 on the 27th

Courses

Jessie had recently attended Food Safety and Hygiene & Haccp and a 3 day on Occupational First Aid with Berrick Resources by Fetac Level 5.

Toddler Room
Roisin and James have recently moved to the toddler room and in no time we will see their first steps.

Pyjama Day

A big thank you to all who contributed for the Make a Wish Foundation, which we raised 500 Euro.

Puppet Show

We had our Puppet show, the Gruffalo story; all the children enjoyed every second of it. They were all overwhelmed with the puppets.

Montessori Teacher

We would like to wish Kelley good luck for the birth of her first baby. She is due soon and is going on maternity leave on the 23rd of July.

Ecce September 2010

Mother Hubbard’s will be participating in the ECCE Free Pre School Year again in September 2010. The Montessori session will run from 9.00am to 12.00 am from September 2010. A administration fee of €30 will be charges at the start of the Montessori year which must be paid by all children attending. If you would like any further information please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Fathers’ Day
All the children in the all rooms are making lovely cards for Fathers’ Day. We would like to wish all the Dads a Happy Fathers’ day.

Summer Recipe
Ingredients

• 1 (12 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate

• 3 cups cold water

• 1 (16 ounce) package frozen sliced strawberries



Directions

• In a large pitcher, stir together the lemonade concentrate and water.

• Place strawberries into the container of a blender, and puree until smooth.

• Pour in some of the lemonade if necessary to facilitate blending. Stir strawberry puree into the lemonade.

• Pour into moulds, and freeze until firm, about 4 hours.

Hmmmmmmmmm…… Very nice
